How We Got Here
Believe it or not, this started with a lost bracelet.
I lost a beautiful rainbow moonstone bracelet two days after I
had bought it and was quite unhappy.
Two things bothered me: I could never find such a unique bracelet
again, and it should have been better made so that it would not have fallen off.
So, we set out to make a better bracelet.
The bracelet pleased friends, and they started asking us to
make things for them.
It occurred to us that maybe even more people would like the
designs, so here we are!
See? Good things can come of something that doesn't seem so good at
the time.
Where's the end of YOUR rainbow? :)
The Kitty Committee
We have five cats, one of whom resides permanently outdoors. They
are: Feller, Gus, Mel, Thomas and Mooch, the outdoor guy, who is FIV positive but is living a healthy and happy life.
All are rescue kitties.
Biddy, our little white cat, died in February of 2003 after a valiant 2-year
battle with anemia. Frankie is missing and believed to have been kidnapped. Karen died of
old age, peacefully in my arms in December 2003. We all miss her, especially Feller.
The rest remain healthy, very much present in the design studio and somewhere between influential and
obnoxious.

About the Designer
Gracie (that's me!) is a married mother of two who used to play women's
rugby in college, a Cleveland Indians fan and a Detroit Red Wings fan. My idols are Bob Feller, David Bowie, Brendan
Shanahan, Bill Wilson and Katharine Hepburn.
I am an Irish Catholic eclectic with Druid leanings, if that makes
any sense to you. Sometimes it doesn't to me either, so bear with me. I am often accused
of being a Heathen, but that is not the same thing. It is, however, the title of a wonderful album by David Bowie.
My jewelry designs take their inspiration from my spirituality.
Before I send each piece, I say a little prayer for the person it's going to. I am grateful for their
business, and we here at BCM wish them health and happiness.
Well, it's nice chatting over this electronic back fence with you.
Stop by often; we'll have more for you.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our work.

Our Shop
All work is done here in our shop. Mel, when he is not knocking
over flowers, is always glad to help bite at beading wire, bat gemstone beads under the couch, and leap on work
trays, sending them flying through the air like beaded missiles.
Currently, most of the jewelry making is done in the living room,
but we are building a workroom, which should be finished around the time the Indians win the World Series.
